DIET: Seagrass
MANNER OF FEEDING: Feeds on bottom vegetation, often leaving a trail of cropped sea grass.
BEHAVIOR: Form small groups of around 6. Moves very slowly.
REPRODUCTION: When mating, a group of males will surround the female and will all attempt to mate with her at the same time. Gestation is 12-14 months. Calves are weaned at 18 months but may stay with their mothers for several years. Females have a calf every 2-7 years.

- The only member of its family left. Has small tusks. It is believed that it related to the Elephant.
