Technically a dolphin and not a whale, the Pygmy Killer Whale has a very misleading name which only underscores how little is known about this animal. The lack of knowledge is due to the very aggressive nature of this animal which is so aggressive that the animal made itself unwelcome in aquariums or aquatic parks. In captivity, the Pygmy Killer Whale will attack any other animal in its habitat. This aggressive nature has led to researchers keeping their distance from the animal in the wild, consequently very little is known about this cetacean that is closely related in appearance to the Melon-Headed Whale and the False Killer Whale.
